the internet is not private

it's a useful thing to remember. that's why i don't post super-private stuff on dogpossum. sure, it sounds private, but it's not really. and i'm not keen on naming names. if i'm cranky, i find it far more productive to either a) shout; b) post in generalities; c) go to yoga than name names.

oh, and i also lie. yes, i lie in my blog. like a pig in the mud. sometimes i tell untruths. or i exaggerate. or i just plain fib. when? where? who can say. does it make this an un-blog? am i breaking the blogging Code? should i tell the truth always, or simply avoid mentioning things i feel compelled to lie about?

yeah, i think i'm actually doing things more the way you do, jac... although, now i think about it, i'm not sure. i don't know... mostly, i just don't post if i'm not sure about what i'm writing. or if i should be writing it...

Interesting, and something I have been thinking about lately. I don't think I lie ... I definitely exaggerate and turn 3 people into 1, etc. But I do lie by omission all the time - not mentioning work or really personal things. And I don't name names either!

I lie, exagerate and fabricate on my blog ALL THE TIME!
Makes for better reading (and writing). Those that actually know me outside of the internet know who and what I really am and go along for the ride.
Those that don't know me should get to know me or enjoy the ride too!
