thesis update

ok, so quickly: i have 10 834 words on the chapter i'm writing. good work this week, me. i still need to add stuff to it, then it needs to be made more chapter-shaped. then it needs proper editing.
then it's on to either the introduction or one of the older, crappier chapters. this is the last chapter left for a first draft! yay me!
