i'd had some reservations about the live8 concerts (mostly stimulated by a doco on music and politics i watched on the ABC a while back), and here's a blog article about that topic.
i have lifted this reference from this article over on american robin (yeah, i'm catching up on my blog reading atm).
it's worth a look and a think. i'll post later when i've done some more reading. hell, i probably won't post (slack. yes, slack), but i'll think about it and talk about it...

i'm there right now. and i chose to have FOOD POISOINING (sp?).
it was great.
things to do: go up mt wellington. it's special. do a walk up there.
eat fish... no, wait. i'm scared of fish now. don't eat at 'Blue Skies'. go to Jackman and McRoss for bread/lunch in battery point. do the markets (because everyone does). visit the amazing jazz shop in town - i can't remember the name of it, but it's in the main bit of town, on collins street i think....
i dunno what else.
walking = 10/10 though!
Hey Sam
I'm going to Hobart for work soon. Can you recommend some things I can do in my spare time?
Hope all is well.
