I wouldn't want to give the impression that I catch the mice using The Squeeze's methods. We have the technology and I've gathered it. Thank god I've no hunter instinct to indulge. Right, KittenBoy?
Traps. $1.20 for two oldskool traps, recently upgraded to grey plastic ones that Doris put us onto (actually, she gave us two). These are twice as expensive. The cheapies have caught more mice (all baited with peanut butter, btw), but the more expensive ones have this little liddy thing so you can't see any mouse guts once they've been snapped.
We have caught at least 5 mice in the past six months.
I have seen many more. They are now officially fearless. It seems KittenBoy is not sufficient a deterrant.
I don't know why we're house-of-mouse these days (faeces!). We're no dirtier than I've been in any other house. I think it's an old house thing, perhaps. At first it grossed me out. Now I'm a little more sanguine. I'm happy so long as they don't wake me up at night with their gnawing (the gnawing! the infernal gnawing!).
