no more brain. none at all.

we have been having some brisvegas weather here lately. not enough, but some. i noticed we've been on about the same temperatures for a while - 26, 27. right now it's humid as fukk and there's some wikkid thunder action. you don't get many storms down here, so it's a novelty. especially as it freaks out the neighbourhood dogs (barkbarkbark) and kids (aaeeeeeiii!). i just check the sky, batton down the fly-away-ables and carry on. hoping for a little less humidity so i can quit feeling so slimey.

still, it's not really like brisvegas - 26 does not = 39 and super-humid.

otherwise it's been a productive day here in the 'wick. we're up to about 9 and a half thousand words, sans intro and conclusion. some editing is definitely in order. i seem to have rambled on more than a little bit.

in fact, i've been so busy having a nice day working i forgot to go to the gym.
AND i got up at 8:30am body clock time. it was 9:30 daylight savings time, and i discovered The Squeeze had apparently had some alarm clock issues, as he did yesterday. so i woke him up (with a long stick: he can be unpredictable in moments like those) and reminded him we're baby sitting a car. much joy: his bike has been really problematic lately. so into the car, rather than onto the saddle he went. and i GOT WORKING. oh yeah, mumma.

my problem: it's not physically possible to write intensively for more than about 4 hours. then i add about 2 hours of editing and shit. and i'm all done. no more brain. none at all.

i don't think i'll be doing that novel in a month thing. got a thesis to do instead.

i missed halloween/reclaim the night. i just forgot about it. and i was busy going to bed at 11 or so, exhausted from an evening at the sewing machine. fitted 40s overalls without a pattern. fun.

so let's hope i can continue to get up before the double figures. it'll be better for all of us.
