a novel would be a breeze after this

ok, so i've done about 5000 words on this new chapter. it's going ok. in fact, it's going quite well. very organised and planned. i reckon i can get this first rough draft done with one more day's solid work. hm.
i do have concerns: is it theorised enough?

this is my first draft, so it will need to be beefed up, have an intro and body added, etc. it's about a third or just over of the whole chapter.
i need to go into the whole section on online and digital AV texts, which is actually the most interesting part of all this. it's also where i tie up the whole global/local thing, revise the fan studies tie-in and so on.

once i've finished this, i'll send it off to the supervisor and then we'll move on and see what can be done with it. where the weaknesses are, etc.
i will probably go straight on and do the next chapter, though, so i can get myself a whole blob of workd: the rough 'blocking' to use a theater term. then we can get into the fine details.

man. it's only 100 000 words (or 80 000 technically) that i actually get to keep. i will easily have written 4 times that by the time i'm done.
