oh man

i am so having trouble getting in to my thesis work again.
i've done all the little thesis jobs that needed doing: i've looked at online journals, i've sorted my bibliography and tailored my styles (mla, thanks very much), i've gone over some notes.
i've also done some fsp writing, played on the internet, listened to some music and hassled The Squeeze who's trying to work at home after a veeery late night at work last night (he got home after 1.30).
now i need to get back to the writing. i just caaaan't. i don't know why. this book i've just started reading is really interesting. it's jennifer kelly's 'borrowed identities' on afro-canadian young men and their uses of media in identity/subject development. drawing on angela mcrobbie's work (which i'm interested in), stuart king-of-all-things hall and various other deities. it's even got lots to do with globalism. and globalised media use.
but i just can't seem to get back into it.

daaaaammmmnation.

it's all the sewing i've done lately. and the thinking about swing dancing i've done today. and this guy's website i've been reading. it's hard to write and think about dance when you're brain is rolling dance steps through your skull.
